Good bye Uber… Hello Citi Bike!
With the city being in full swing, 16 weeks of record breaking real estate transactions in the luxury market, and articles like the one in Vanity Fair describing workers coming back to the city, it’s only natural the city traffic has come back as well. One of the pandemic rewards was not having crowded streets with cars or watching your money go down the drain if you needed to take an Uber in your heels.
Due to all of the above and the onset of warmer temperatures, I have adapted to the new post-pandemic city life on a Citi Bike… Still not back in full swing to take the train, however, Citi Bike makes me feel like a kid again, especially when I’m with my kids :).
Not only is it less expensive than a rideshare service, with stations all around you can park them just about anywhere you go. We are living a quasi-European lifestyle as all the streets are filled with outdoor seating and there are even streets that are no longer accessible by cars. I even love picking the E-bikes and being safe on the roads that are less used.
Don’t be too shocked to see city women like myself in their Bottega shoes riding around on a bike. If we can do it in Rome, we can do it in NYC!
Stay up to date on the latest real estate trends.
