Top Overstory Cocktail Choices at 70 Pine Street

Located on the 64th floor of 70 Pine Street (one floor above SAGA Restaurant), Overstory is a contemporary cocktail bar in New York City’s Financial District.

Full Disclosure: it’s not one of those spots where you can just roll in.  Overstory takes reservations 15 days in advance.  Walk ins are welcome, but you are encouraged to have a drink at Crown Shy while they wait. 

I surprised my dear friend, stylist and fashion advisor Guilia Papailias by taking her to this outdoor terrace with 360-degree views of the New York City Skyline.  But to my surprise, Guilia was afraid of heights, so we had to move the party inside.  I wasn’t upset, though.  The inside was just as decedent and beautiful as the outside.

Speaking of decedent – how can I review a cocktail bar without sharing my favorite drinks of the night.  My recommendations are to order the Notorious (Gin, Green Apple, Green Tea, Lychee) and Easy Money (Vodka, Coconut, Yuzu, Lime Leaf, Soda).
